Stratolaunch's CEO confirmed that the flight will be the start of a new convenient way to launch satellites to replace ground-based launch systems.

Stratolaunch is funded by Microsoft co-founder, Paul Allen, with a vision to enter the service market for launching small satellites. After the billionaire Allen died in October 2018, the project and the company's future also became blind.
