Scientists created 49 dogs with identical genomes based on dog genes "Milly miraculous". The 6-year-old dog copied the gene to decipher the genetic mechanism behind its tiny shape, according to the Long Room.
Milly weighs less than 28 g when he was born in Dorado, Puerto Rico, in 2011, and can curl up on a spoon, making veterinarians predict it is difficult to survive. However, the dog still thrives well under the care of owner Vanesa Semler in Kissimmee, Florida.

Since 2012, Milly established the Guinness World Record for the world's smallest dogs with a height of nearly 10 cm and a weight of more than 454 g, with a big apple. Super-small size helps Milly win a lot of affection around the world.
The expert team at the Sooam Biotechnology Research Association in Seoul, Korea, met Semler to ask for permission to duplicate the dog. To carry out cloning, they took cells from Milly and transplanted the nucleus to hold genetic information into donated egg cells. The developing embryo is placed in a pregnant pregnant dog's body, producing offspring similar to the 1996 Dolly cloning process.
In August last year, the first baby cloned from Milly was born. A total of 12 cloned dogs are living with the Semler family under the name: Molly, Mally, Melly, Mully, Mumu, Mila, Mary, Mimi, Moni, Mini, Mela and Mulan. According to their owners, dogs have the appearance and personality of Milly, but some are slightly larger than Milly.
Last month, Milly was recognized as the "Most Humanized Dog" by the World Records Academy."Milly holds the world record for the smallest dog from 2012 to 2018 and now it is the most cloned dog with 49 copies. The original idea was to create a total of 10 copies, 9 to study. rescued and 1 child for us, but then they decided to replicate more, " Semler said.
"Milly was chosen because it is the smallest dog in the world. They want to find out why it is so small. It is interesting to be surrounded by all its copies. They are very smart and like to play like Milly. We love everything but it's hard to have 12 copies of Milly , " Semler said.
