There is going to be anti-hijacking software
About 30 European enterprises and research institutes are collaborating to develop a software with a special responsibility: to regain control of aircraft being controlled by hijackers.
According to toxic information published in German newspaper Der Spiegel, the system will allow the ground to regain control of the aircraft, forcing the plane to land at the nearest airport, whether the driver wants it or not.
" The hijackers will not have any chance to achieve his goal ," Der Spiegel said.
Source: Movieweb This project has an investment cost of € 36 million, with contributions from the European Commission, aircraft giant Airbus, electronics giant Siemens and Munich University of Technology.
The first results will be presented in the UK in October. The system will be designed so tightly that even if the hijackers on the plane have a . hacker, they can't turn around.
If the software can be released to the market, it will end the controversy so long in Germany around whether the air force should shoot down civil aircraft or not, in case the hijackers don't turn the plane into a weapon .
The best example of this situation is the 9/11 attack on targets in New York and Washington.
