Thought seaweed hooked, turned out to be strange marine creatures with extremely venom

While fishing, a girl in the US caught a bizarre creature shaped like a giant worm.

While fishing with her mother in the port of Isabel in Texas, USA, Alyssa Ramirez caught a strange sea creature . At first, she thought it was just a seaweed plant.

'When I felt that there was no fish to bite, I guess the bait had slipped and pulled the string up to re-attach the bait to the hook , ' Alyssa said. 'At first, I thought the hook was entangled in seaweed, but then I discovered it was a strange creature.'

In the video recorded by Alyssa, the bizarre creature looks like a giant worm with long, hard hairs surrounding its body.

Alyssa has sent photos and videos of strange creatures to Texas wildlife and park agencies. They later identified it as a type of fire worm with thorns .

The fireworm has an extremely toxic neurotoxin at the tip of its glands . If the bristles penetrate the skin, the victim may feel burning and the pain may last for hours, with some cases feeling nauseous and dizzy.
