Three astronauts returned to Earth safely after nearly 6 months on ISS
On April 10, Russia's Moscow Suburban Flight Control Center reported that three astronauts returned to Earth safely with the Soyuz MS-02 spacecraft after 173 days and nights on the International Space Station (ISS).
American astronaut Peggy Whitson has set a new world record by becoming the astronaut who has the longest space walk ever.
The compartment contains three astronauts, including two Russians Andrei Borisenko and Sergei Ryzhikov and an American Shane Kimbrough, who tumbled several times while landing in the area near Kazakhstan's Dzhezkazgan town.
However, Soyuz MS-02 commander said the crew's health condition has stabilized.
Rescuers have now taken all three astronauts out of the compartment.
Earlier, on March 30, Whitson astronaut set a new world record when he became an astronaut with the longest space walk ever, with 7 hours and 4 minutes. .
Currently, there are 3 scientists still working on ISS, including a Russian astronaut Oleg Novitsky, an American named Peggy Whitson and a European astronaut Thomas Pesquet.
