Two astronauts returned to Earth safely from the ISS station

Two Russian and French astronauts on June 2 left the International Space Station, safely back to Earth.

Soyuz MS-03 takes Russian astronaut Oleg Novitskiy and French colleague Thomas Pesquet of the European Space Agency (ESA) successfully down the Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan area on the evening of June 2, according to Spaceflight Now.

The Russian and ESA rescue teams approached the landing point to assist the two astronauts when they began to get used to gravity on Earth after 196 days, 17 hours and 49 minutes of living on space.

The other crew member, NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, continues to stay at the International Space Station (ISS).

After two missions, Novitskiy's total time in space was up to 340 days. Soyuz MS-03's fleet completed 3,136 orbits in orbit with a distance of over 133 million km, receiving 4 cargo ships and an astronaut. Pesquet participated in two space walks over a period of 12 hours 32 minutes.

Two astronauts get health checks and satellite calls for family and friends. Novitskiy and Pesquet are in good health, psychologically good, having fun chatting with the rescue team when enjoying the fresh air and warm temperatures of the Earth."Now is the time for us to go home with friends and family. We are very happy. What a wonderful journey, thank you everyone , " Pesquet said.

Kazakhstan held a welcome ceremony before Novitskiy boarded a Russian plane to fly to Star City near Moscow and Pesquet capital on an ESA plane to return to Cologne, Germany to report the mission.

Soyuz MS-03 spacecraft carrying Novitskiy, Pesquet and Whitson was launched into space on 11/17/2016. In April, Whitson's mission extended until September 3.
