TT320 is an ancient Egyptian tomb near Deir el-Bahri, in Theban Urban Area, opposite Luxor. Originally, the tomb was thought to be the final resting place of the High Priest Amun Pinedjem II , his wife Nesikhons and other family members.

However, Pinudjem II died around 969 BC. He lived during the decline of Egypt and during that time, mummies of royal members including Pharaohs were often robbed.

Pinudjem decided to secretly prevent this and this astonishing story was revealed in the "Great Treasure of Egypt" on British channel 5 with host Bettany Hughes.

Accordingly, the mummy of an ancient almighty Pharaoh in Egypt was discovered by accident starting from some extremely rare antiques appearing on the antique market in the ancient city of Luxor.

These artifacts are extremely expensive and belong to some of Egypt's most famous Pharaohs. In the spring of 1881, the authorities began investigating the case and they discovered that the artifacts were sold by a local farmer named Abd el-Rassul.

Immediately, Rassul was arrested and interrogated. Farmers quickly revealed the source of these antiques to the authorities.

Accordingly, Rassul led archaeologists to what is now known as TT320 , to a cliff overlooking the Nile valley. Back then, the area was completely unknown to archaeologists. Rassul said one of his goats fell into a 13m-deep pit here and he struggled to rescue it.

Incidentally, in the process of saving the goat, Rassul discovered ancient treasures here. Investigators immediately descended into a 13m-deep pit and were stunned to find more than 40 mummies there. They include Pharaoh, queen and other royal members.

According to Dr. Hughes, the High Priest Pinedjem gathered a group of trusted people to break into the royal tombs, steal the mummies and then take them up this ridge and hide them in this deep pit.

These mummies have been here, resting for nearly 3,000 years, avoiding grave robbing until the goat of farmer el-Rassul falls here.
