Mr. Vu Duc Kinh, Director of Thanh Hoa Urban Environmental Hygiene Company, chairman of the project said, installing DIM-250 ST power saving device for high-pressure lamps and replacing 75W incandescent bulbs With Compac lighting for street lighting, the entire route saves 110,515 kWh of electricity each year, equivalent to saving over 122 million dong / year. This electric light system still ensures street lighting.
Previously, in order to save electricity, Thanh Hoa city often had to apply solutions to shorten the lighting time, turn off 1/2 to 2/3 of the number of lights from time to time . However , the above measures only give immediate results, but do not guarantee traffic safety.
Every year Thanh Hoa province uses tens of millions of KW / h of urban lighting. With the success of this project, here, Thanh Hoa city will expand the installation of energy saving equipment for street lights in some main roads in the area such as the route 1A of the central road section. city, Phan Chu Trinh street, Le Hoan street.
