Venus, Earth and Jupiter combine forces to cause the solar storm?

Research by German scientists found a correlation between the number of sunspots and the alignment of Venus, Earth and Jupiter.

The solar cycle occurs every 11 years. We are approaching the end of the Sun Cycle 24 . The first cycle was noted by German astronomer Samuel Schwabe in 1843 after 17 years of observing the sunspot . However, since then, before the new study, scientists have not explained this 11-year cycle.

In a recent study, using the computer model, astrophysicists of the Helmholtz Association at the German Research Center, found a clear correlation between the number of sunspots and the straightness rows of three Venus, Earth, Jupiter planets . Accordingly, it seems that the tidal force of these three planets is the mechanism that causes the solar cycles.

Tidal forces , generated by gravitational fields acting on an object, are an apparent force that extends an object in two directions close and far away from the center of mass of another object. Tidal forces create tides, break down celestial bodies or the formation of planetary rings.

Since the masses of the three planets cannot match the mass of the Sun, they cannot influence the gravity field of the Solar System. However, the combination of tidal forces when these three planets are aligned, takes place with a period of 11.07 years, which can be strong enough to create turbulence in the sun canopy.

Sun canopy, which is the aura of plasma around the center of the Solar System , can lose structural integrity as the Sun approaches the most active phase of the 11-year cycle, due to fluctuations in Solar magnetic field. The result is the release of large amounts of plasma and their magnetic energy into space. In 1859, when they arrived on Earth, they created the solar storm and neutralized the telegraph network, causing fire in electronic devices in the United States.

The Sun's activity, including the number and size of the sunspots and the appearance of solar storms, varies according to a particular pattern in a solar cycle. Understanding the nature of this phenomenon helps people limit the damage they can cause to the Earth. The study was published in the journal Sun Physics.
