It is also the first river system to be discovered outside the Earth, based on an impressive resolution image transmitted from the Cassini cruise ship.

Experts deduce that the upper river, located at the northern tip of Titan, is filled with liquid hydrocarbons, based on jet black along its entire length, and the river surface is quite calm, according to Space.com. Press release from the European Space Agency (ESA).

It means that the river above contains no water but is ethane and liquid methane, according to astronomers. Titan is also the only world in the solar system, up to this point, containing liquid on the surface, extraterrestrial.

Pictures taken from Cassini show that the mini Nile flows into the Kraken Mare Sea. Meanwhile, the real Nile river stretches about 6,700km.
