Video: 3D printing 10 houses in one day

A Chinese company called WinSun Decoration has invented a 3D printer that can print up to 10 houses in 24 hours, using recycled materials from construction waste.

Almost all parts of the house are 3D printed, except for the tile part due to technological limitations. The print bed of this giant 3D printer is 152m (long) x 10m (wide) x 6m (high).

The inventor Ma Yihe of Win Sun, who currently holds the CEO position at the company, has built WinSun's office based on this "3D printing" technology. WinSun's 10,000m ² office building process only lasts about a month.

Mr. Yihe said building houses in this way is both cost-effective and environmentally-friendly. After printing the house, customers can choose colors to decorate the walls.

WinSun 3D home printing technology will be used to build offices in an industrial park located in Shanghai. Yihe said the Chinese company will soon develop this technology to build high-rise buildings in the future.
