The group of anglers at a jetty in the United States forced the bait fish into a rope strong enough to catch big fish. Suddenly a grouper weighing nearly 100kg jumped out of the water, biting off its prey and left.
Grouper species are characterized by a strong body, wide mouth and strong jaws. This fish is quite large, has more than 1 meter long and weighs about 100kg. They usually eat small fish, squid, shrimp . In 2010, Costa Rican fishermen caught a grouper of 2.3 meters long, weighing 250kg in Limon waters.
