Video: Gloves help astronauts as strong as Ironman
NASA and General Motor Company jointly researched to create super-healthy gloves, making it easier for users to lift heavy objects with one hand.
Researchers from the US Aeronautics Agency (NASA) and General Motor technology company since 2012 began incorporating robot details into gloves, creating a device called "robotic gloves ", according to Tech Insider.
This device helps astronauts with arms like Iron Man in Hollywood movies.
This device helps astronauts with arms like Iron Man in Hollywood movies, easily lifting 7-9kg objects with one hand without strain. Gloves wearers also feel that the holding object weighs only 2-4kg.
Sensors mounted inside and outside the glove work to identify grip movements. Artificial ligaments simulate the process of real hands working, pulling the fingers along the movements around the object.
