Video: Gym on the river running by human power
An Italian company has just introduced a floating gym, capable of going down the Seine, France thanks to the energy created by the interns.
The gym is 20m long, can accommodate up to 45 people.
The project, called Paris Navigation Gym, was developed by Carlo Ratti Associati and Technogym, Terreform ONE of Italy.
The gym is 20m long, can accommodate up to 45 people. Treadmills can turn the trainer's cycling motion into energy to push the gym on the river. They can also track the progress of the exercise and the energy they create using the virtual screen on the glass.
Episodes will float on the river throughout the year, despite outside weather conditions. The project is only at the idea level, but research shows that it can be applied in less than 18 months.
