While people use darkness to sleep, many other animals work vigorously when night falls.
Cats are one of the animals that are capable of looking in the dark very well.
Humans have poor visibility in low light environments, but many other animals are able to see in the dark due to their distinctive eye structure, according to Science Explorer.
In the video on Youtube channel TED-Ed, Anna Stöckl, biologist at Lund University, Sweden, explains why many animals can see clearly at night.
