Video: Marvel at the sharpness of a paper saw blade
An experiment using paper as a saw brought unexpected results and will help you answer the question "Can paper cut wood?".
The newly released clip of the carpenter John Heisz on Youtube channel and the "I Build It" website proved, paper is a tough material, much harder than its fragile appearance.
With thicker logs (approximately 1cm thickness), paper saw blades only cut nearly 2cm.
In the experiment, Mr. Heisz used a regular sheet of white paper to make a circular saw. This carpenter used a paper saw blade to cut paper, cardboard, and then a thin wooden board with ease and sweetness.
However, with thicker logs (approximately 1cm thickness), paper saw blades only cut nearly 2cm, then stagnated.
Heisz stressed, although he has yet to find a way to apply the experimental results in practice, it has brought us interesting knowledge.
