Video: Skyscraper-like high mountain reveals the past of Pluto
What makes giant icebergs on Pluto?
In 2015, NASA's New Horizons spacecraft flew over Pluto. The images it observes near the planet's equator really challenge scientists, which are giant methane ice mountains, as high as the skyscrapers in New York, USA.
Pluto may have been a warm or hot planet before.
Scientists say the climate on Pluto is much more complex than what we know about it.
Giant icebergs on Pluto are thought to have a similar structure to the "snow shoots" on Earth.
These snow shoots are created by the "snow ice" phenomenon (penitentes). They are found only in high mountains in some areas near the equator.
Massive icebergs on Pluto may be evidence that this was once a warm or hot planet.
