A photographer captures the spectacle of Quadrantid meteor shower on January 2 and 3 from his astronomical observatory on the roof of his home. The author of the photos in the video above is John Chumack, a photographer living in Ohio, USA.

Quadrantids meteor shower usually takes place from December 28, 2012 to January 12, 2013. It peaked on the morning of January 4 with a frequency of about 40 to 60 tracks per hour, even up to 100 tracks per hour in favorable weather conditions for observation.
