The world's highest poisonous snake species likes to move like a caterpillar.
Gaboon snake, is a poisonous snake of the green snakehead family distributed in rainforest and savanna in sub-Saharan Africa. This species is both the largest member of the green snake genus, and the world's heaviest cobra snake.
At the same time, this species possesses longer fangs than any snake species, up to 5 cm. Along with that, the amount of the venom of the cobra snake is also highest compared to any other venomous snake.
In terms of shape, the snake's head is large, triangular, the neck is narrowed to just one-third the width of the head. There are 2 small horns on the nose. In particular, this type of snake has a rounded center instead of being smooth like other snakes.
Possessing a unique appearance, this snake's movement is also very different. Instead of crawling on its body, the cobra swung its body in a straight line, using firm-toned belly scales. Movement of this species is similar to the caterpillar.
Compared to the usual way of moving, this way is slow and effortless but quieter and harder to detect.
Although the nature is extremely aggressive, this snake is quite calm and patient. They hunt by ambush, often spend long periods of motion, waiting for the prey to bite.
