Video: Turn cigarette filter into energy storage material
New Korean scientists say they have found a way to turn cigarette filter heads into a series of energy-storing materials used for all devices from mobile phones to cars. electricity also contributes to environmental protection.
Snapshot from video
Cigarette filters are made of cellulose acetate and, through a high temperature heating process, turn into carbon-containing materials.
Carbon is an ideal component for supercapacitors to store energy because it is cheap and has a stable, long-term storage time.
