Video: Unusual 'fish rain' appears in Iran

Science cannot explain why some places in the world literally "rain fish" occur. It even happens on an annual basis, happening a couple of times a year.

Fish rain is a rare phenomenon , usually caused by waterspouts carrying marine life out of the water, then raining down at another location. This amazing event was recorded in Yasuj city, Iran on the morning of May 4.

The clip recording the incident shows dozens of fish falling right next to cars traveling on the road.

Mario Nawfal, the owner of the clip that is spreading on social networks, said: "Suddenly the fish fell from the sky. The cause has not yet been determined, but it must have been a real fish."

Many people commented below the video, seeing this as a blessing from God. Meanwhile, some people think that this is a lucky opportunity when they have fresh fish on the street without having to buy it.

According to Iran International, heavy rain has caused flooding in 21 provinces and cities of this country.
