Vietnam launched dynamic control system for road traffic safety
For the first time in Vietnam, after 2 years of research, a group of cadres of VN Metrology Center collaborated with Vietnam Road Administration, Institute of Transport Science and Technology . successfully designed and manufactured the system. dynamically control overload, speed of road traffic vehicles. Products installed on road traffic will promote control efficiency even when vehicles are still on the road.

Speeding cars have become popular in Vietnam. This is the main reason leading to degradation and even damage the current road system, and potential accidents.
Meanwhile, to control overcrowding and over-speed of road vehicles, many countries around the world have deployed dynamic control systems with diverse and effective technology solutions.
From these practical models, the research team of VN Metrology Center has proposed the project of designing and manufacturing dynamic control system with Vietnamese brand, with the goal of: Designing and manufacturing systems suitable for Vietnam road conditions, reducing costs compared to foreign systems, and more importantly, mastering technological solutions in product design and manufacturing. After 2 years of research and testing, the system has perfected the features and allows precise control of the weight and speed of cars circulating on the road with the corresponding technical standards of the systems being use in the area.
Master Dao Duy Hung - Department of Volume Measurement - VN Metrology Center said: "In the past, we had static control systems, but there were some limitations, so we chose dynamic scales to carve. These dynamic weighing systems can control 100% of the vehicles where static scales cannot be tested Secondly, the system automatically calculates the data and outputs the results belongs to human subjective factor ".
The main design of the system includes: sensors installed on the road including position sensor, load sensor. When the vehicle moves through the sensor placement, immediately the received signal will be taken to the analyzer, automatic signal processing and given the correct results of the axle load, the distance between axle, total weight as well as vehicle speed when passing through the system.
A software with Vietnamese interface to manage and control the system; In addition, it allows to import and store the necessary data for management such as: vehicle group, lane, time of vehicle passing, etc.
With camera management mode, the system can automatically record images of violating vehicles with shooting speed and image transmission up to 30 images / 1 second, even when the vehicle runs through the device at a speed of 50km / h the image captured is still very clear . Currently, this system can manage 8 lanes simultaneously and allows recording images of both directions. These images will be the basis for statistics and reporting the results of violating vehicles during the day. However, the characteristics of the road in our country are quite complex and not yet divided, so the noise factor is still being sought by the research team for the best solution.
Setting up a dynamic control system on Vietnam's road axes will create an effective control network, which helps to collect data on road conditions, creating a basis for investment decisions, upgrades and refreshments. traffic routes, avoid wasting for ineffective investment, at the same time change drastically and in a positive direction to control and handle violations, contributing to boosting the management of Vietnam traffic.
