Vietnam organizes solar racing
To attract the attention of the community on solar energy application, for the first time, Vietnam organized a contest on solar powered cars in Ho Chi Minh City.
The organizers said that the contest is for all individuals and organizations who love and passionate about designing this type of car that are living and working in Vietnam.
Besides creating the interest of the community with solar energy, the competition also creates a useful playground to arouse the passion of solar applications.

Participating in the competition, the teams will undergo a preliminary round to check the safety in designing, manufacturing and operating vehicles when competing. The cars will take the running test. The organizers will follow the achievements from high to low to select the teams to participate in the group stage in the group stage and the final ranking. The earliest destination criteria will be used to decide to win or lose between teams. The race is organized on a closed track with a route of 2km, with obstacles.
Team cars will participate in the competition by using the only energy source from the sun. The matches will take place between 10 and 15 hours of the competition day, each match is 20 minutes at the HCM City Hi-tech Park.
Time for teams to register for the competition starts from today until the end of September at the HCMC Energy Saving Center (ECC-HCMC).
The competition is expected to start in September, lasting until November this year. Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City Television and EEC-HCMC co-organized and conducted this contest.
