'Due to the global supply-demand imbalance in the global market, we regret to announce that First Solar factory in the Southeast Industrial Zone will suspend production until market demand need more supply , 'said Tymen DeJong, Senior Vice President of First Solar's manufacturing division. 'First Solar will complete the construction of the plant, but postpone the new recruitment and import the equipment until the project is restarted'.

First Solar photovoltaic module factory was started in March this year and is expected to have about 2,000 workers, with an initial investment of USD 300 million on a total of USD 1.2 billion committed by Fisrt Solar. invest. First Solar is one of the leading companies in solar energy production, while in Vietnam, First Solar is the first foreign company to invest in building factories in this area.

The company temporarily halted its operation in Vietnam, partly because the Chinese solar-powered battery products are flooding the market, causing an imbalance in supply and demand in the world market.
