VND 2,916 billion for marine resources and environment management in Vietnam

Photo: Phan Song Ngan According to the decision of the Prime Minister approved (No. 47/2006 / QD-TTg, on March 1, 2006), it is the total expected budget to implement the ' Master Plan on Basic survey and management of marine resources and environment by 2010, vision to 2020 '.
The investment and implementation of the project is stated to achieve basic objectives such as promoting basic investigation of natural conditions, natural resources and marine environment in Vietnam; establishing scientific foundation, legal basis to strengthen state management, promoting the potentials, advantages and serving the sustainable development of the seas, coastal areas and islands of our country .
In the coming time, according to the decision, the Government will establish a State Steering Committee for basic marine resources and environment surveys, headed by a Deputy Prime Minister. In addition to leaders of a number of concerned ministries and branches, the People's Committee leaders of some provinces and coastal cities will be members of this Steering Committee.
