Water tank and armor plates of American soldiers: quench, cool, use ice to increase the bulletproof

Qore Performance has announced a simple yet effective solution to help US soldiers and police escape the heat or the cold winter of their mission.

The invention, called IcePlate, is a 1.5 liter water tank, made of extremely thermally tough plastic. The use is simple: after filling the water, the IcePlate is put in the refrigerator, overnight and then attached to the inside of the armor.

The invention called IcePlate is a 1.5 liter water tank.

The condensed water on the surface of the IcePlate plate will penetrate the clothing layer and evaporate, thereby cooling the soldier's body. The manufacturer said IcePlate's "operation time " lasted for 3-4 hours.

When empty, the empty IcePlate weighs only 340 grams. The price per plate is US $ 39.

IcePlate's "active" time lasts from 3 to 4 hours.

In addition to the cooling function, IcePlate also comes with a straw so that users can " melt " their ice melts without having to manipulate the water bottle. In winter, IcePlate can store hot water for heating.

Not only did the soldiers feel comfortable, IcePlate was also introduced as a supplemental shield for armor. In the test video with class IIA armor you can see how IcePlate filled with ice would increase the likelihood of protecting the soldier's life.
