Website '1 million' has legal trouble
Alex Tew.(BBC)
The young entrepreneur of milliondollarhomepage.com is facing a lawsuit from a company that paid up to $ 38,000 for the last 1,000 dots of screen.
The milliondollarweightloss.com website won the pixel auction on eBay's system. But this "weight loss" website said that Alex Tew was only "bragging" in the sales contract and decided to apply to the US court.
According to the attorney of milliondollarweightloss.com, Tew promised the site owner that they would "gain a significant reputation" from the auction. "Our customers have won and deposited money for Mr. Tew since 8 days ago and Mr. Tew has at least 5 days to promote. But our customers have been forced to bear all costs but not what benefit ".
However, Tew claimed he had never made sure that the winner would be advertised in the media and hoped the problem could be solved without going through the court.
On his personal blog, Tew also sent a winning congratulatory message to milliondollarweightloss.com, and mentioned the National High Technology Crime Prevention Commission (UK) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The US (FBI) is investigating denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks with e-mail extorting Tew up to $ 50,000 during the past week.
" I apologize to all the advertisers on the page during the site's trouble. I also hope my clients see that I am trying to do what I can to maintain the website without paying any money. What for blackmailers , "Tew said.
