Whales are stranded and die on the English coast
A 13m-long whale died after three hours of stranding on Redcar Beach, Teesside City, England, although the British ocean rescue team tried to feed the whales to wait until the tide rose.

Experts have used lifting equipment to move whale carcasses from the beach but fail because it weighs about 20 tons. Eventually they made a difficult decision to cut whales into pieces that could be safely taken away.
It is unclear why whales appear in this area because the north coast of England is not a suitable place and there is enough food for large creatures like whales. Some experts believe that the noise of the ships may have disturbed the whale's signal.
