WHO warned Ebola epidemic to speed up the spread

The World Health Organization (WHO) on October 14 warned that the number of people killed because the Ebola virus exceeded 4,447 with most victims in West Africa.

WHO Assistant Director Bruce Aylward also warned of the possibility of up to 10,000 new infections each week over the next two months if not strengthening national and international efforts to prevent the disease.

Although the number of new infections in some areas has slowed, people in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea still suffer the most from Ebola.

WHO said there were 8,914 cases of the disease, including deaths and that number would exceed 9,000 cases by the end of this week.

In Liberia, the medical team in this country is on strike to demand toxic money when working and taking care of Ebola patients after their 95 colleagues died of the infection.

Besides, Facebook social founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife on October 14 announced to donate $ 25 million to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to support the fight against Ebola.

Last month the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation also donated $ 50 million to the war with this epidemic.
