Women are more likely to die from heart disease than men
The age of heart disease in women is higher than that of men, meaning that the risk of death is also greater.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in adults and is especially dangerous for women. The latest work of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (Canada) indicates that women are more likely to die from heart failure than men.

According to NewYork Post, to make the above conclusion, University of Ottawa Heart Institute scientists have studied 90,000 heart failure patients in the period of 2009-2014. Results showed that nearly 17% of women died within one year of diagnosis. This rate in men is only about 15%. Previously, the Harvard University report also showed that since 1984, the number of people dying from heart disease is mainly female.
Explaining the phenomenon, the authors said that in general, the female patients "older and weaker" men . In fact, the average age of the first heart attack in women is 72 years old, while in the eyebrow is 65 years old. In addition, women are at high risk of obstructing small blood vessels - a disease that is difficult to detect.
Thus, the work of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute once again highlights the gender differences in risk factors, expression and management of diseases. In the Canadian Medical Association Journal, the authors expect that researchers will continue to explore this issue to provide appropriate treatment for each group of patients, especially women.
