CST-01 is manufactured by Standard Timing Company in Chicago (USA). He is the brainchild of Dave Vondle, designer and electrical engineer and founder of Standard Timing.
The CST-01 is made from stainless steel. With a thickness of 0.8mm, it is even thinner than a credit card. CST-01 displays the time on an electronic paper screen (E Ink). This technology is also used to design the screen of Amazon's Kindle reader.
The CST-01 features an internal 0.5mm flexible electronic component and an ultra-thin and ultra-thin battery. Charging for 10 minutes is enough for this watch to last for a month. In particular, the battery life is up to 15 years with 10,000 chargers. Because of its ultra-thin design, the watch does not have any buttons. It is known that CST-01 consists of four samples and each sample has three sizes of wrists: small, medium and large.
The idea of a CST-01 watch was introduced in the Kickstarter campaign in February of this year, when Dave Vondle and his colleague Jerry O'Leary attended the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, USA. This project quickly attracted $ 1 million from investors and they were the first to use the CST-01 when the first shipment came out in September.
