A woman living in Ohio (USA) has sued and asked Yahoo to pay $ 20 million for using her image and "forgetting" permission.

The case file was officially filed with the Northern Ohio District Court on March 1. Accordingly, the Cuyahoga woman named Shannon Stovall accused Yahoo of using her image in emails welcoming her new customers without asking her permission.

Stovall claims this is a case of serious violation of personal privacy and the right to control her personal information business.

Shannon Stovall said she unexpectedly discovered the incident in October last year when she decided to become a Yahoo customer. Suddenly, Yahoo's email to her new client sent her a picture.

That email was printed by Stovall for evidence in court.

Mitchell Yelsky, one of Stovall's three lawyers involved in the lawsuit, said his client had previously been a model and had been a model for many different organizations.

Lawyer Yelsky sent an email asking Yahoo to stop using his client image in emails sent to customers.

Yahoo representatives declined to comment on the incident.

Last year, Yahoo was involved in a similar incident. Sports star Tom Brady last December also sued Yahoo for illegally using his image on Yahoo Sports without asking him for permission.
