Dutch doctors compared the health of more than 19,000 women with IVF with more than 6,000 infertile women but did not use this method for 15 years.

Results showed that 77 people with malignant ovarian tumors. 61 of them use IVF, 16 did not use this method. In 61 cases, tumors developed into ovarian cancer in 30 people.

After considering the age and number of children (if any) of mothers as well as other factors that could affect the results, the scientists found that the proportion of women with malignant ovarian tumors Twice as high as the group that used IVF. But the incidence of tumors is not proportional to the number of IVF experiences.

The study is based on data of women suffering from reproductive diseases reported by 12 Dutch hospitals from 1980 to 1995.
