In a study published in the British journal Nature last weekend, scientists at the British National Cancer Institute found similar characteristics in the genetic map between breast cancer and ovarian cancer. as well as the similarity in form and frequency of gene mutations.

Experts used and analyzed and collated the data in the Cancer Gene Map (TCGA), a comprehensive study of the formation of cancers, especially breast cancer.

According to the director of the US National Cancer Institute, Harold Varmus: "The molecular similarity between one of the major subtypes of breast cancer and the subtype detected in ovarian cancer has made money. It is convenient for scientists to compare the methods and results of treatment of patients with these two cancers, thus leading to more effective new methods ".

Breast cancer is currently the most fatal disease in women. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) statistics, there are about 1.3 million cases of new breast cancer in the world each year and 450,000 deaths from this disease.
