Chiropsella Saxoni is the name of a new jellyfish, unknown and described before. This scientific name was named after Saxon Thomas, who discovered the jellyfish when he was 9 years old.

Saxon Thomas and a friend went fishing and fishing nets, when he collected ' spoils' , Thomas paid special attention to a jellyfish with some spots on his body and a part of the body with a box-shaped structure. Thinking it was an unusual specimen, Thomas asked his father for help to send to the Queensland Museum.

The scientist Merrick Ekins, who works at the museum, told AFP news agency: "We look at it and we claim it is a new species, so we named the new species after this pupil."

Timesline.co.za quoted Merrick Ekins as saying that this jellyfish has very unique physical characteristics, so it is also called another dwarf box jellyfish. There are other large box jellyfish that possess venom in tentacles that can kill prey or enemies quickly, but this new dwarf box jellyfish can only be annoying but not too toxic to kill other creatures.
