100 hot topics with Hot Trends
Google has just added a new feature on its search service whereby users can know the list of the 100 hottest topics of the day.
' Hot Trends is Google's latest tool for those who are curious to discover what the world is looking for ,' Google said at the launch of a new product.
Launching this feature, Google will not continue to introduce Google Zeitgeist, a manual catalog of popular search keywords by week. However, Google claims that the company will still publish the Zeitgeist rankings at the end of the year for users.
Google said the results displayed on each Hot Trends newsletter include information from Google News bulletins, blogs containing search keywords and specific contextual information.
' For example, the Hot Trends No. 2 result on Tuesday, May 15 was an obscure phrase:' I who have nothing '. Relevant articles and results found on the blog will indicate that this is a song performed on American Idol. And the related web search results found that it was actually a pretty famous song performed by Shirley Bassey in 1963 , 'Google explained.
Besides Hot Trends, Google also added other features to the Google Trends tool. In addition to finding the most searched keywords in certain cities or countries, users will be able to view search results by region.
