51 antitrust cases against Nvidia
Analysts have forecast this summer to be a stormy summer for Nvidia but it is unthinkable that the world's leading graphics chip manufacturer faces the same time as 51 lawsuits. .
Nvidia was accused by the plaintiffs of participating in non-competitive business agreements and a series of product pricing strategies to help them recover the highest profit.
Even some lawsuit cases have claimed that Nvidia has also embarked on a direct competitor AMD, which has just bought graphics maker ATI Technologies.
Nvidia said most lawsuits were filed in the Northern California District Court in March.
A company alleged to take action to set product prices when the company shook hands with competitors to establish a minimum sale of a product or a certain product line. In this case, there are many accusations that Nvidia and AMD agree to raise the price of the product too high.
At the end of last year, the US Justice Department also accused AMD and Nvidia of violating antitrust laws. The incident began to flare up after AMD succeeded in acquiring ATI, which AMD was originally a long-term partner with Nvidia.
Immediately after the US Department of Justice, Intel also jumped on the request to provide full documentation regarding the AMD-ATI deal. Intel itself is also involved in a persistent antitrust lawsuit with AMD.
