Headline shrimp are crustaceans, northern Vietnamese fishermen called surface. Adults can grow up to 30cm and in some special cases this number is 38cm. Cramped shrimps with a length of nearly 50cm often rarely appear.

The headline shrimp has a pair that resembles a mantis. They often appear in temperate and tropical seas.

Extremely good vision of head shrimps helps them identify and distinguish many types of corals as well as different types of primers.
