A new dangerous network spy tool appears

Security vendor Kaspersky Lab has warned that a new spy tool, linked to the ultra-toxic computer virus Flame, has just appeared, affecting computers in Lebanon, Iran and elsewhere.

According to Kaspersky Lab, the new software can be called 'MiniFlame' (miniature version of Flame). This malicious program is small but very flexible, designed for hackers to steal data and control infected computer systems.

However, MiniFlame differs from Flame in that place, it is designed to operate spies with high accuracy. Researcher Alexander Gostev at Kaspersky Lab said that it is likely that MiniFlame software will cause a cyberwar.

According to statistics, there are about 50-60 computers in Lebanon, France, the United States, Iran and Lithuania so far infected with MiniFlame malware. It may have been developed from early 2007 to the end of 2011, with some dozens of improvements compared to Flame.

Previously, Flame's outbreak associated with Stuxnet attacked oil industry companies, power plants, nuclear power and many other infrastructures in Germany and Iran.
