The local government of Queensland, Australia confirmed there were 62 dead green turtles and 10 others found dead floating on the surface by helicopter.
Marty McLaughlin from the Queensland Department of Environment said tests and tests for green turtles were carried out but showed that they died not from disease.
The reason they were starved to death due to lack of food or death due to signs of chemical or parasitic contamination was checked by us, but these causes were ruled out, phys.org excerpted from Mr. McLaughlin.
The cause of dead green turtles still has a secret, all of their bodies are found around the Upstart Bay beach, north of Queensland.
