Mr. Tran Pham Anh Tuan (32 years old) in An Binh valley, ward 3, Da Lat city has just introduced 20 serra flower varieties (popular names are gerberas) by his research on breeding.
Mr. Tuan said that he had conducted cross-breeding studies of ten years ago. Three years ago, the breeding began to produce results, with at least 3,000 varieties of gerbera varieties born from successful control of the gerbera (taking the genetic resources of the perennials in Da Lat Combined with the genetic resources of new high-class species introduced into Da Lat, from Holland, Taiwan, and Japan), pollination and seeding (outside farmers' gardens, they never seed) because of a rule The insect-based pollination program he observed learned and applied.
After that, Mr. Tuan gave germinated seeds, planted trees, planted soil, and then put the samples into test tubes to transplant genetic resources. So, the above procedure was experimented, continuously screened through many seasons to select 20 dominant and optimal varieties.
