About 150,000 people visited IT Week 2006

According to the Vietnam Informatics Association (VAIP), the 15th Vietnam Informatics Week (IT Week 15) is organized by VAIP, Hanoi Telecommunications and Information Society in Hanoi from October 26 to October 30, 2006 as a Vietnam's important information and communication technology (ICT) event.

In 2006, IT Week was held before the 2006 APEC Vietnam Summit held in Hanoi, hosted by Vietnam for the first time. IT Week 15 is an opportunity for businesses and organizations to honor ICT achievements and affirm the role of ICT industry to contribute to the country's development in the context of regional and world economic integration.

As usual, IT Week 15 has the following main activities: ICT Exhibition, ICT Seminar and Forum, Voted and awarded Vietnam ICT Golden CUP Award 2006 for the fields. IT opening ceremony Week 15 held on the morning of October 26 and Vietnam ICT Night 2006 with the Vietnam ICT Golden CUP awards ceremony held in the evening of the same day.

Expected IT Week 15, held ahead of the APEC Vietnam Summit will have 150,000 visits to domestic and international visitors.
