Adobe: Upgrade to Photoshop CS3 to be able to run on Vista
Adobe Systems has said that users of Photoshop Creative Suite 2 (CS2), if they want support for Windows Vista, must upgrade to the new version of CS3, which is expected to be released this spring.
" We do not recommend running CS2 on Windows Vista, and there are no plans to upgrade Vista support for this version, " Adobe said.
" Although some components of CS2 such as Adobe InDesign CS2, Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop CS2 can still install and run on Vista, there are only a few minor errors, the components like Acrobat 7.0 Professional do not support the system. " This action, " Adobe said.
Early next week, Adobe plans to introduce a CS3 package in New York and said it will be the biggest product launch in the company's history. CS3 is designed to run on 32-bit operating systems of Windows Vista: Home Premium, Business, Enterprise and Ultimate; Also capable of running on Intel-integrated Macs.
In a recent interview with C.Net, Adobe's CEO - Bruce Chizen said CS3 did not take full advantage of Vista's advanced graphics features because Adobe could not update them for the graphics package.
