The study, conducted by Charles Darwin University in the northern region, shows that the crocodile named Crocodylus porosus , the common name in Australia is Saltie , more aggressive than the crocodile in America and South America.

Salty crocodile species are also thought to be very aggressive found in Papua New Guinea, South America and Southeast Asia. The researchers said the Australian species of freshwater crocodile ranked fifth in violence, standing on two adjacent species of American alligators and Indian crocodiles.
Professor Matthew Brien told The Guardian newspaper that the Saltie crocodile was particularly aggressive when strangers infiltrated their habitats, especially during mating season. The powerful jaws of male crocodiles can bite the heads of strange animals.
The UPI news agency quoted Professor Brien as saying that saltwater crocodiles about 2 meters in diameter are less likely to attack humans, but those from 4 meters or more must be very careful with them.
