Air terminal for automatic procedures in Singapore
Changi Airport's T4 terminal is open from August with an automatic check-in system from sending luggage to security control.
Changi Airport's T4 terminal has a floor area of 225,000m 2 , including a two-storey station, parking lots and taxi parking.This project was completed after three years of construction, located closer to the city center than T3 station.Although the size is only half of that of T3 station, designers of T4 station can receive 16 million visitors a year, equal to two thirds of the capacity of T3 station.After this station operates, Changi airport capacity will be increased to 82 million passengers annually.
The central hall of T4 station is 300m long, 23m high, separating the public area from the transit area.The highlight of the interior is the design of orchid wings, the traditional flower of the island nation of Singapore.
A special feature of T4 station is that passengers can automatically check in air cargo , send goods to and from the security door automatically through the face recognition system.Passengers do not have to wait for the service counter to open.In the long term, this system saves about 20% of the workforce.
Vietnam Airlines will open air check-in counters at T4 station from October. In the short term, Vietnamese passengers will still carry out traditional aviation procedures, then they can do procedures themselves on the automated system.
With sun doors and glass walls that receive natural light, T4 gives passengers a natural daytime experience. Small landscape area of 2,000m 2 with 186 large trees.Along the corridor to the plane, there are also 160 trees.

Airlines that will operate at T4 include Air Asia Group, Cathay Pacific, Cebu Pacific, Korean Air, Spring Airlines and Vietnam Airlines.It is expected that these airlines will serve a total of 8 million passengers at Changi Airport each year.
Passengers through T4 station will experience different scenes with 3-way LED digital screens.
Designing a modern T4 station, ensuring improved service quality such as shortening travel time for passengers within the station during the procedures at the airport.
