On August 5, a ship carrying tourists to visit the glacier at Tracy Arm Bay, a fjord in Alaska, an ice mountain of about 60 m nearby suddenly collapsed.

The collapse of the iceberg caused the ice to be splashed and created a large wave that caused the cruise ship to shake, causing panic among the tourists. A woman on the ship broke her leg.

Melting glaciers can cause many dangers, including the creation of large waves sinking small boats.
