According to Christie's, which represents the auction house Aguttes, the manuscript, which includes preparatory work for general relativity, was written by Einstein and his confidant Michele Besso between June 1913 and early 1914 in Zurich, Switzerland. It is thanks to Besso that the new manuscript is preserved to this day.

"It was like a miracle because Einstein himself could hardly keep what he saw as simple working documents," Christie's said. "This manuscript opens a fascinating journey into the mind of the greatest scientist of the 21st century."

The documentary collection of more than 100 years is estimated to collect 2.3 - 3.4 million USD. "This is without a doubt the most valuable Einstein manuscript ever sold at auction," Christie's said in a statement.

Einstein was born on March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Germany and died on April 18, 1955 in New Jersey, USA at the age of 76. He won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 and is considered an icon in popular culture. of a genius scientist with shaggy hair, mustache, and characteristic bushy eyebrows.

One of Einstein's most notable achievements, general relativity helped reshape our understanding of how the universe works. It deals with and makes predictions that are radically different from classical physics, including the definition of gravity. Einstein's theory directly pointed out the existence of black holes in the universe.
