Alcohol makes people forget

This is a good reason for one or two glasses of alcoholic drinks. Scientists have proven alcohol helps us remember happy moments and forget about sadness.

Duka investigated the ability to memorize volunteers' note cards, given just before and after drinking a few alcohol units. Their answer is compared with the response of the group drinking non-alcoholic water.

As a result, both groups remember the first set of cards better than the second. However, the drinking group remembered the first card better than the non-alcoholic group, and recalled particularly quick emotional images.

In contrast, they scored worse when asked to recall the second set of photos, including emotional images that proved to be easily forgotten.

It seems that a small amount of alcohol has prevented the brain from forming new memories and thus helps strengthen memories that happened just before we started drinking.

Therefore, the memory of the start of a night of fun with friends - when we are just drunk and have a good time with you - is the deepest and happiest. And any ridiculous antics that ensued, when we became too drunk, were quickly forgotten.

However, when consumed in large quantities, alcohol can interfere with brain chemicals associated with memory formation. Other studies have shown that alcohol can cause long-term damage to the brain of teenagers.
