They float because of onion-shaped bags and communicate with pulses of light.
Dr. Alderin-Pocock, a leading scientist from Europe's Astrium space agency, said his imagination is based on what is observed around, as well as relying on long-term understanding that life needs gas and carbon-based environments.
According to the Telegraph newspaper, some female colleagues have made bolder ideas, such as silicon-based lives.
Her imaginary aliens may not exist in Earth's environment, possibly because our oxygen-filled atmosphere turns out to be toxic to them, just as humans cannot live. survived on Saturn's titanium moon, Dr. Alderin-Pocock argued.
