All three of the most popular browsers have vulnerabilities
The newly discovered flaws, which have not been patched in the three most popular browsers today, can turn the Web into a pitiful and dangerous place, security experts warn.

In a series of email alerts over the weekend, they announced details of the latest vulnerabilities within Microsoft's IE browser, Apple Computer's Safari and Mozilla's Firefox. If the Firefox and Safari vulnerabilities could cause the browser to hang, the IE vulnerability could be exploited by hackers to attack loopholes, Secunia said.
Because of its serious nature, Secunia had to classify the IE vulnerability into the "Highly Critical" category. Currently, the IE6 version is vulnerable to this vulnerability, but other versions may not escape the risk zone. This vulnerability lies in the way IE handles HTML tags and an attacker can take advantage of a vulnerability to fabricate a fake website.
The warning from Secunia was released only a few days after expert Tom Ferris announced many untouched vulnerabilities in Apple's software, including the Safari browser. And yet, in early April, Microsoft released a patch to fix 10 bugs in IE for a while, most of which are "critical".
Microsoft is investigating the newly discovered Secunia vulnerability, although it does not believe it is so serious as Secunia claims. However, another reputable security vendor, Symantec, also confirmed that the IE flaw could be exploited for hackers to run malicious code on a loophole computer.
According to Secunia's confirmation, Safari version 2.0.3 and Firefox 1.5.0.2, the most recent version directly contains errors, although most likely other versions are no exception. Fortunately, this error of both browsers is not "critical".
Since there are no patches for these errors yet, Secunia recommends that users should not access untrustworthy websites to avoid falling into the hands of hackers.
